EDUCATIONAL DESCRIPTION

Mornings are crazy at the Lab-dorm because the monsters try to hide to avoid the morning routine. All the players are determined to be the first to round up their pack of five monsters and win the game.

To do this, they must use their sense of observation and speed to remove their three “Bouboules” from the Monster Bath. Logical reasoning will help players get cute little “Morveux” intent on eating colourful cereal rings out of bed. Finally, players will be able to rely on deduction to unmask the mischievous “Prouts” only interested in dressing up in disguises.

POSSIBLE APPROACHES:

The imaginary world of A Morning with the Monsters engages children in the game. The development of executive functioning skills will go unnoticed in such a context! The “Prouts” game offers younger children a fine opportunity to work on vocabulary associated with clothing and colours. Through this game, children of all ages will hone their skill at asking questions. In addition to problem-solving, the “Morveux” challenge offers an excellent introduction to games like Mastermind. The Monster Bath game can easily be introduced into a workshop, a transition period or an end-of-session to work on skills such as attention and observation by bringing players to simultaneously take into account several visual characteristics.
