Lab-École – New School Layout
It is with great pride that Izamo Design takes on the challenges proposed in collaboration with Lab-École.
After eight years of ideation, co-construction, and collective effort around a shared dream, reimagining schools from a child’s perspective, the Lab-École project has now come to completion.
Launched in 2017, Lab-École was built on three pillars: a redesigned physical environment, a physically active lifestyle, and healthy eating.
In a context where many schools had not evolved since the 1960s, Lab-École brought together local talents to design six laboratory schools adapted to today’s realities, while producing nine publications to inspire other educational communities.
This collaborative approach, rooted in innovation, aimed to create schools at the heart of their communities, caring environments that foster learning.
