Proposal for a school outing in a cultural environment or in a performance hall.

The IZAMO DESIGN company was seduced by the creative and original universe of the Nora la trotteuse show.

Through storytelling, live music and puppets, follow Nora’s incredible and poetic journey as she sets off to discover the unknown.

Nora goes on a journey to discover the unknown. She wears a scarf given to her by her grandparents. As soon as its journey begins, the scarf flies away, taking with it the memories it represents. Nora continues her journey with the firm intention of finding him. Over the course of the encounters and adventures that punctuate her quest, she lets herself be guided by the community that is knitting around her. His journey allows him sometimes to put down roots, sometimes to fly away towards these exciting parties which unite new friendships. Nora the second hand will transport you to an unusual and poetic universe combining storytelling in images, live music and puppets.

The universe

The main medium used is the crankie box, a crank-operated theater popularized in the 19th century and an ancestor of cinema. Images made by hand in ink and paint parade before the eyes of the young spectator. The journey of the puppet Nora is supported by live music used as language throughout the show.

Piano, violin, accordion and soundscape recount the wonderful journey of young Nora, in search of her grandparents’ scarf.

The unfolding of the crankie box design creates an unparalleled dynamic that captivates young audiences for 45 minutes.

The concept of this show is unique: thanks to the play of light, the sound of musical instruments and the scrolling images, the puppet evolves in a rich universe that leaves room for the imagination of young audiences.
